If a user navigating the hierarchy tree for Location, Organization, Geography, Classification, Cost Code, or newly created hierarchical trees tries to see more than the number of child records listed in the TRIRIGAWEB.properties file’s
TREE_PAGING_SIZE value, the following message appears:
First 1000 displayed. To see more, use a master-detail target.
A more user-friendly message that tells the user what the problem is and what to do to get past it is needed. The message “To see more, use a master-detail target” is confusing for end users.
We removed the message “To see more, use a master-detail target” from hierarchy trees that contain more than 1000 entries at one level, as a standard user would not know what to do with that information. They will only be shown: “First 1000 displayed.” As a reminder, it is best practice to have records at different levels in trees, and not all at one level. Having too many entries at one level negatively impacts performance.
