Having an issue with filters on TRIRIGA BIRT starter reports

I’m having an issue recently with the filters on the report. What if we include sub-queries (in the Related Reports section) on our starter report in TRIRIGA? Does it impact the data set created in BIRT?

Here’s the scenario: If the building type is X, the report should fetch the result within one time frame (current month +36), i.e. 3 years from now. But if the building type is Y or others, the report should fetch the result within another time frame (current month +18), i.e. 18 months from now.

I can see only one filter on the starter report for an 18-month time frame. But the BIRT report still fetches the results within a 3-year time frame for building type X. There is no filter created on the data set explicitly for the 3-year time frame on the BIRT report also. I can see a sub-query listed on the starter report in the Related Reports section created for building type X. I’d appreciate any help on this.
