Having issues with the Workflow Agent slowing down or stopping

We are having issues with TRIRIGA workflows. It appears that the Workflow Agent will run for a period of time before either slowing down or stopping completely. At that time, we have to restart (bounce) the Workflow Agent JVM on the server, which will kick-start it again. The events then get processed through. Sometimes, it take a few restarts before we are able to process the transaction. Does anyone else have this issue? Any suggestions to troubleshoot or fix it?

My suggestion is to enable the Async workflow performance logging, and let it record during one of the slowdowns. It has minimal impact on system performance. Then, using the Workflow Analysis Tool, you might find something to help you understand what is causing the slowdown. You can enable the performance logging in the Admin Console on the machine that is running the Workflow Agent. The Workflow Analysis Tool can be downloaded from here: IBM TRIRIGA Workflow Analysis Utility.
