UX: Is there a way to use smart sections to open records in UX?


In classic TRIRIGA, we can click a smart section link and open up its related record. Is there any way to duplicate this functionality in UX? Also, in the model, in the data sources, it provides a data type of “smart section”. Would it be possible to do anything with that through UX?

There isn’t native support in UX framework to do that, but as a workaround, you can use the anchor <a> tag in HTML to construct a link to a record from the UX application. It could be used to launch a new window to display a record, which will be form-based (similar to what we see in classic TRIRIGA). The URL points to the related record in this case…
