Reaching another TRIRIGAFEEDIA milestone

Last week, December 5th, 2019 was the 5th anniversary of TRIRIGAFEEDIA. Another impressive milestone! Where have I been? Well, let’s just say that 2018 and 2019 have been very busy years. And I have no doubt that 2020 will be just as interesting, if not more so. Speaking of which, you might’ve noticed that IBM developerWorks is showing an important banner at the top of its wiki pages:

“The developerWorks Connections platform will be sunset on December 31, 2019. On January 1, 2020, this wiki will no longer be available.”

However, I’ve also learned that our specific wiki will remain frozen in read-only mode until the end of January 2020 before disappearing. Despite the challenges, the TRIRIGA team has been busily preparing a new wiki platform alternative. While the initial wiki pages may be populated as soon as January 2020, more and more batches will steadily follow, and the final pages may appear several months later.

So if you have a favorite wiki page that you might need during our migration process, I encourage you to print them to PDF for safekeeping. In any case, I’m excited about what I’ve seen of the cool new wiki platform so far. Stay tuned! Thanks again for reading, following, and feeding TRIRIGAFEEDIA. I appreciate it!

Interestingly, one day after I posted this entry, IBM updated their wiki banner:

“The developerWorks Connections platform will be sunset on January 2, 2020. This wiki will no longer be available unless an extension has been requested.”

Unfortunately, IBM didn’t approve the direction of our new wiki alternative. So we’ll discuss our next steps in January 2020. Meanwhile, I’ve learned that our current wiki will remain frozen in read-only mode until the end of March 2020. Stay tuned!
