The “Grant Security Access – MASSUPDATE” workflow does not filter the groups and licenses correctly, because various tasks in this workflow are not set correctly.
The “Update Records” action on the Grant Security Access form was creating a duplicate of Groups/Licenses on People and My Profile records if the Groups/Licenses selected were the same as the ones added on People and My Profile. Moving forward, we resolved the issue by modifying the workflow “Grant Security Access – MASSUPDATE” to not create any duplicate Groups/Licenses if they are already added to People and My Profile. We also fixed another issue, to create new Groups if the “Clear Existing Security?” check box is checked.

In the Chrome browser, when not enclosing string values in single quotes in a query that uses an “In” or “Not In” user filter, the user gets an error message. The user cannot close the error message and has to close Chrome.

When running an ETL Job in IBM TRIRIGA 3.5.2, we see the following error, because the T_triTaskResourceFact table, triTaskResourceFact BO, has changed, and the triDimTaskStatusTX field is no longer a locator:
ERROR [com.tririga.platform.workflow.runtime.taskhandler.ETL.KETTLE](triTaskResourceFactETL - Insert into triTaskResourceFact) Insert into triTaskResourceFact - org.pentaho.di.core.exception.KettleException: Error inserting row into table [T_TRITASKRESOURCEFACT] with values: ...
Error inserting/updating row ORA-00904: "TRIDIMTASKSTATUSTXOBJID ...
The status dimension data was not populating for the task resource metric table. Moving forward, we needed to make changes to populate the data correctly.

We have a problem when we open a reservation from the calendar. It seems that when the user has a primary organization and he opens a reservation from My Calendar, the reservation window is opened, but it doesn’t show any information. However, if the user doesn’t have a primary organization, the reservation window is opened and it shows the information correctly.
When dealing with an organization, geography, and project security, you should use the user’s groups, not override groups. In Reserve, My Calendar, a user with an organization or geography is unable to open a reservation that was created. The security was not using the organizations or geographies from the user’s profile (groups) when determining the user’s access. Instead, it was using the overridden Reserve security group.

If you create a location and it already exists, the hierarchy path originally created remains the same. Go to Locations and enter a location that already exists. Note the hierarchy path. You will receive a message that the record already exists. Change the location name. The hierarchy path does not change. It remains with what existed before.
When entering a location that already exists, the hierarchy path remains the same when the name is changed. The issue is that the System Date field is not being correctly marked as “dirty” (modified) from user changes to correct record name conflicts. Moving forward, we resolved an issue for certain hierarchy records where the path field was not being correctly updated when correcting name conflict errors.

If you attempt to revise a project from the Schedule tab, where the Gantt chart is visible, your session is expired and you receive an invalid session error. The issue was observed in Internet Explorer and Chrome, but not in Firefox.
An analysis from a Fiddler trace shows that when revising the project in Chrome, this POST to GanttDataUpload.jsp seems to kill the session. In Firefox, for whatever reason, this POST doesn’t occur, and the state transition is successful. To confirm that this is the scenario you are experiencing, use the following technote to run a Fiddler trace and check for the same GanttDataUpload.jsp call: IBM TRIRIGA using Fiddler for tracing web browser traffic.
As a temporary fix, use Firefox. When the record is in a read-only state, no Save action should be called on the Gantt. Moving forward, we resolved the session-kill issue when the user performs a Revise action on a project in the Schedule tab.

The user template of the source environment replaces the user template of the destination environment of the same person record after an OM import. In TRIRIGA 3.5.2, when a triPeople user template is migrated from one environment to another, if a user’s people record is associated with the string “Applied Template” in the source environment, the most-recently applied template will be applied to same user’s people record in the target environment.
For example, user James Sullivan has a Project Team Member template applied in the test environment. In the CERT environment, user James Sullivan has a Facilities Manager template applied. But when the Project Team template is migrated to the CERT environment, the template is applied (instead of the Facilities Manager template) to James Sullivan’s people record.
This is working as designed. The root of the issue is that when an OM that has a people template is imported from the source environment to the target environment, and when the published name of the user profile record is the same in both the source and target environments, it will NOT replace, but create additional associations from source to target. All of these associations can be seen in the Associations tab of the user record. However, the form will show that latest template that was applied.

Manually typed dates do not take into account the user’s date-time preference in the Gantt scheduler.
We needed to specify the EditFormat element, in addition to format, when applying the left-column metadata to the date fields. Moving forward, manually editing dates will now take into account the user’s date-time preference in Gantt.

When the user go through the Object Label Manager to access a form and change the name. The system allows you to name it the same as another form, resulting in duplicate form names. There is currently no error handling for this. Meanwhile, if you access the form from the Form Builder itself and try naming it the same as another, the system will give you an error.
The issue was that the link into Form Builder from Object Label Manager’s Labeled Objects tab was not passing in the module ID and the BO ID for the form, thus the unique name validation for the module was failing to occur. This fix obtains the the module ID and BO ID for the form selected and correctly passes it to Form Builder. Moving forward, we resolved an issue in Object Label Manager, where opening a form from a link under the Labeled Objects tab would allow a user to change the name of the opened form to a name that already existed in the form’s module.
