What is the Report Scheduler?


Starting in IBM TRIRIGA 3.5.3, the Report Scheduler application provides administrators the ability to schedule and automate reports, queries, and external reports. Administrators can select the reports to run, setup a schedule and time, and identify who receives the reports. Once scheduled, the platform will run the reports, and send the them in an email notification as an attachment.

The application is found under Tools > System Setup > Report Scheduler.

Is anyone using automated testing tools with TRIRIGA 10.5.3?


Is anyone using automated testing tools with TRIRIGA 10.5.3? I’m trying to use C# and Selenium to run automated test cases and I’m running into problems locating elements that I can control. Specifically, I’m having difficulty grabbing elements inside of tables for leases where there are no IDs. I’ve tried using XPath, but I keep getting “Element not found” errors.

One of the biggest barriers to growth in remotely accessing building management systems (BMS) – one of the key features of a smart building – is IT security.

Is there a way to open an existing record from a workflow?


I need to pop open an existing record from a workflow, preferably from an OnChange or OnClick event. Is it possible to do this? Or is the only way to open a record through a query? We are trying to automate our closeout procedures by attaching a barcode to our work orders. As the work order comes in for closeout, the user would scan the barcode and then open the right record.

Is there a way for the “Component ID” to stay permanent in TRIRIGA?


In TRIRIGA, the Component ID for a field changed after upgrading. For example, in TRIRIGA 3.5/10.5, the Component ID for the “User ID” text box on the login page was: textbox(“User Name”). But in 3.5.2/10.5.2, it changed to: textbox(“User ID”). This is impacting our automation test. Each time we upgrade to a new version, we need to check and change our automation test script. Is it possible to keep these Component ID values fixed?
