Why is there a JDBC exception with TRIRIGA on WebSphere and DB2?

I am getting a strange error when I am trying to deploy to TRIRIGA with the WebSphere Application Server (WAS). TRIRIGA doesn’t come up and throws an exception. Interestingly, when I point a Liberty application on the same DB2 database, it works well. I have confirmed with my network team that this is not a network connectivity issue. Here are the error logs:

Caused by: org.springframework.jdbc.CannotGetJdbcConnectionException: Could not get JDBC Connection; nested exception is java.sql.SQLException: DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-805, SQLSTATE=51002, SQLERRMC=NULLIDR1.SYSSH200 0X5359534C564C3031, DRIVER=4.18.60 DSRA0010E: SQL State = 51002, Error Code = -805...

Have you checked to see that both the Liberty server and the WAS server are actually using the exact same version of the DB2 driver (db2jcc4.jar)?

Why aren’t TRIRIGA Web Services working on WebSphere 8.5.5?

TRIRIGA Web Services (WSDL) are not working on WebSphere 8.5.5 with TRIRIGA 3.4.2. The error “IncompatibleClassChangeError” is reported. The full error message is as follows:

Caused by: java.lang.IncompatibleClassChangeError:
org.apache.neethi.AssertionBuilderFactory

TRIRIGA 3.4.2 uses the Apache Neethi 3.0.2 jar to support the web services associated with the Connector for Business Applications (CBA). However, it seems that WebSphere 8.5.5.5 uses an earlier version of Neethi internally via [WebSphere root]\AppServer\plugins\org.apache.axis2.jar. The two versions of Neethi don’t particularly care for each other and result in an “IncompatibleClassChangeError” problem… Without the TRIRIGA 3.4.2 Neethi, web services do not work. Without the org.apache.axis2.jar, the WebSphere Admin Console (and probably some other things) do not work…

UX: Why is WebViewSync giving an unauthorized exception?

I’m having an issue with pulling and syncing from one environment. It’s TRIRIGA 3.5.0.1 and I’m running WebViewSync.jar Version 1. I pulled the space assessment from a different environment and then performed an init to the new environment. When I sync, I encounter the following error. Has anyone had this issue before?

Waiting for changes to sync...

Try using sync with a URL that includes a fully qualified domain name (FQDN).

Having an issue with TRIRIGA 3.5.0 deploying on WebSphere

Any suggestions for the following two issues will be greatly appreciated:

  • 1. Workflow Expression Editor issue in TRIRIGA 3.4.0: The workflow Start task and Switch task don’t display the details in the Conditions window except as “Expression Editor”. (Specs: Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64-Bit, JRE 7u80, IBM SDK 1.7, IE8 and IE11.)
  • 2. Deployment issue in TRIRIGA 3.5.0: The installation completes successfully, however, the application doesn’t deploy in WebSphere. The message found in the ant log file is: “Unable to locate tools.jar. Expected to find it in…” (Specs: Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 64-Bit, JRE 8u91, IBM SDK 1.7, IE8 and IE11.)

Thanks in advance.
