Is there any online or virtual training on TRIRIGA Reservation?


I would like to know if IBM provides any online or virtual training that is primarily focused on the TRIRIGA Reservation Management module. We are looking to use the Reservation module on a global project that we are embarking on. I would appreciate it if you could point me to any online training, certifications, resources, or vendor contacts.

Although we don’t have any official training courses specific to Reservation (as shown in these training paths), we do have Reservation documentation in our Knowledge Center: Managing reservations and reservable resources. Here’s the PDF versionWe also have a couple of videos in our ISM Connect channel on YouTube. I hope this is a good start.

Resolving the “You do not have permission” error message


If you are a TRIRIGA user creating a service request record that goes through the approval workflow, but the approver sends it back requesting clarification, you may receive an error message saying, “You do not have permission to access this page. Please contact your TRIRIGA administrator. Thank you.” This may happen when you are only assigned the “TRIRIGA Request Central” license.

If this is the case and the Security Group setup allows that, you can successfully create the service request record that will go through the approval workflow, and that license will allow the action “Notification”. But if the record is sent back by the approver for clarification, this will require access to the action “Item Record Type” (WorkFlowActionItem) and that license does not provide that by design.

Here is a list of the IBM TRIRIGA licenses providing access to the action “Item Record Type” WorkFlowActionItem… The solution for that error will be adding any one of the licenses above to the requester user, so that it is possible to process the WorkFlowActionItem action properly by design. The rest of security will rely on the Security Group setup for that user, so you can restrict access to any BO or form according to your business needs and requirements.

Having an issue with missing radio buttons in Request Central


Problem: We have reports from users where the radio buttons are randomly not appearing for Service Request Types in their Request Central portal. Is this a known issue or has anyone else seen this behavior?

Workaround: To resolve this, we have revised (with no change) and then activated the user’s profile. In some cases where this did not work, we removed and added the same groups and licenses the user had previously.

Troubleshooting: We removed and then added the groups individually in the user’s profile to rule out any security conflicts. The Audit Actions tab also shows that the users’ profile had not been revised in approximately one month or more.

Example:

  • In Request Central, select ‘Building Repair & Maintenance’.
  • Then ‘Building, Exterior & Interior’.
  • This displays the request form and lists the various Service Request types available.
  • In this section, all the radio buttons are not visible.
  • Additionally, the option to choose if the request is ‘For Me’ or ‘Someone Else’ is uneditable.
